<229> Back Now:So I'm back now - back in Philly, back to work, back all around. It's been a week now officially since I've returned and my time in Krems is beginning to fade away to a distant memory already, abetit a fond memory at that. I do miss the people I met there and while we are staying in touch, it's a different thing when everyone is spread out. There is really no good way to harness the energy we brought about each other. I guess we'll just have to wait until we're all back together again.
I've been back at work since Thursday. I came back just in time as that was the final moving day. We moved from the 41st floor of this building to the 10th, which left us with a lot of nothing to do on Friday since everything was packed up, but most of it wasn't being moved down until the weekend. So we all left around 2pm... which I now have to have mixed feelings about when we are allowed to go early. Sure it used to be great to have the extra time, but now that every 15 minutes means another five dollars, you look at the day a whole lot differently. I guess it teaches you to value your time though. Or at least try to make the most of it.
I've resorted to doing Cubicle Yoga today because I'm already starting to feel the pain of sitting at a desk all day again. I picked up a taste of Hatha Yoga in Krems, but only did one of the 6 sessions we were offered as it was very early in the morning before a long day of classes and it was really hard on my joints and muscles... basically it wasn't worth it for the short amount of time we were there because I wouldn't have time to get used to it and it would really wear me out for the week pretty quickly. But I definitely believe in the value of breathing and stretching, which most people do not have time - or think to have time - to take advantage of. It's pretty simple if you can remember to think to do it! ;)
So my new space here is a lot smaller because it's only a temporary space. Everyone is moving in March to a new building, and I might be moving sooner than that to one of our other building's offices because our department might not go to the new building that the rest of the company is going to use. If that happens I'm told we might be moving as soon as next month or October. Too bad I spent all day unpacking my area anyway... best I could at least, battling unlocked drawers that had to be drilled apart to open, two cubicles of stuff fitting into one, and movers constantly running around. I'm semi setup now, though there is still a bit to put away. I haven't had time yet today as I actually do have work to do too.
